Coface Collections North America Receives SSAE 16 Type II Certification

Kenner, La. Coface Collections North America, Inc. (CCNA) has achieved Type II Certification with the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants’ Statement on Standards for Attestation Engagements (SSAE) 16. The certification demonstrates that CCNA meets quality, security, confidentiality, compliance and safety-related SSAE requirements for the company’s controls and processes.

“SSAE 16 certification distinguishes CCNA within the debt recovery industry,” said Jim McDermott, the company’s chief operating officer. “It’s a rigorous standard to be measured against and we’re happy to have achieved it.”

The SSAE 16 audit examines a service provider’s system controls, processes, policies, procedures, personnel and operational activities that constitute the organization’s core activities. The assessment involves a detailed off-site evaluation of formal operational documents. It also includes an on-site visit where auditors test the operating effectiveness and security of an organization over a period of time.

“Undergoing this level of audit has allowed us to take proactive measures to provide the highest level of security and confidence to our clients,” said McDermott. “Meeting this advanced auditing standard further ensures CCNA’s ability to comply with our customer’s own governance and compliance programs.”

CCNA is fully licensed and bonded in all required jurisdictions. It is also a member of the Commercial Law League of America, the Commercial Collections Agency Association of the Commercial Law League of America, and a member of the International Association of Commercial Collectors
